About the designer
Maud Norris is the fashion designer behind the brand.
Being a selenophile (a lover of the moon), it was an evident name for her brand!
Born in Paris, she studied fashion design and pattern making and graduated in 2006. She’s always loved creating dresses with quirky details and stunning fabrics, and is fond of the lush fashion of the Edwardian era.
Her preferred fabrics are lace (the older the better!), celestial prints and flowers. She also likes adding some colour in dresses. After all, not all brides want to wear white at their wedding! As a bride, she herself wore a wonderful dress in white lace, with a deep purple underlining and matching purple belt in velvet.
She designs, creates and handmakes all the dresses from A to Z using mainly British and French fabrics, ensuring that they are sustainable and lovingly made for you!
Now based in Kent, in the quaint little village of Minster, next to Ramsgate, she offers one-to-one appointments, where she gives her expert advice to help brides feel their most confident and happy.
